This year will be my second Mother’s Day as a mom, and over the years I’ve seen a lot of Mother’s Day Gift Guides that don’t include anything I’d actually want on them. So I decided to put together this Mother’s Day Gift Guide for Millennial Moms. I hope these ideas help my fellow young moms out there get the gifts they actually want for Mother’s Day.
And for anyone out there looking for a gift for a millennial mom, here’s one tip before I get into the guide: the number one gift you can give a young mom is time off. We never get enough of it and we could always use more. Even if all you can give is an hour of babysitting so we can go get our nails done. Time off a wonderful gift (and it’s free!)
If you’re looking for a tangible gift, below is my Mother’s Day Gift Guide for Millennial Moms!
A great gift for a millennial mom is a workout class package to a gym of her choice. My favorite workout spot is Pure Barre, so I highly recommend a Pure Barre class package for the mom in your life. Going to Pure Barre is amazing because it’s more than just a workout. It’s an hour to yourself to focus on improving your fitness and well-being.
It’s no secret that you should take as many photos and videos of your kids as you possibly can. In today’s world, it’s easy to use our phones to snap shots of our kiddos. But, I’ve found that it’s also really good to have a nice DSLR camera to take high-resolution photos of the family. The Canon Rebel series are an inexpensive option for a starter DSLR. They’re easy to learn and they take great photos.
For moms and working moms especially, cleaning the house is often something that falls through the cracks. As a busy working mom of twin toddlers, I can speak from experience that having someone help clean the house would be a huge help. Even if you can just get the mom in your life a one-time cleaning, trust me it will be greatly appreciated.
Every millennial mom needs a cute, sassy #MomLife coffee mug for those mornings when you’re enjoying a cup at home. Whether you’re able to actually relax with that mug of coffee or take sips in between chasing toddlers doesn’t matter.
Moms can never have enough caffeine. Trust me on that. A Starbucks gift card with a cute mug makes a great gift for the millennial mom in your life.
A great gift for a millennial mom is a pretty necklace with her kids’ initials on it. It’s a nice way to have your kids near you at all times, and it’s fashionable but subtle.
Cute graphic tees are perfect for chilling with the kids around the house or going on a Target run. I love graphic tees that have fun sayings about being a mom or #MomLife. I found this amazing tee that says “I’m a mom, what’s your superpower?” and I love it so much.
When you’re running around with kids all day, sleep is an absolute necessity. One of the best gifts you can get a mom is a luxurious, plush bedding set to fall into at the end of the day.
If the millennial mom in your life enjoys a nice glass of wine, you need to get her a wine club membership. There are a few cool wine clubs available out there. The best part about a wine club membership is that you get sent new wines each month and you don’t have to leave your house. Sometimes I want a bottle of wine but I really don’t want to take two toddlers to a liquor store. A wine club membership alleviates the need to get a babysitter just to get a bottle of wine.
AirPods, or any bluetooth headphones are a great gift for a mom. When you’re busy running around with kids, you don’t have time to deal with tangled headphones cords. It’s just unnecessary. Plus, bluetooth headphones are great for when you’re working out or for when you want to listen to something while your kids are napping nearby.
You can never have enough comfy clothes as a mom. But in my opinion, who says comfy clothes can’t be cute? I insist on having adorable comfy clothes. No worn-out sweats over here! Cute and comfy joggers are the way to go when you’re hanging around the house with your kids or getting a chance to relax after a long day.
It’s always great to have physical photos of your kids at your desk. Whether your desk is at home or at an outside office, a desk plaque with pictures of the kids is a wonderful reminder of what’s important in life. I love having a Shutterfly desk plaque with pictures of me and my twins at work. Looking at those sweet faces always makes the hard times at work more bearable.
As I’ve said before, the key to being a happy and successful mom is time management! It’s so important for your sanity. Getting the mom in your life a cute, fun Happy Planner is a great way to help her work on her time management. You can even grab some fun accessories like stickers and dividers.
Every mom loves being pampered. And since we’re usually strapped for time, one of the best ways to feel pampered is by buying high-end skin care from Sephora to use at home. Try a nice Sephora gift card so the mom in your life can splurge on some new skin care products.
I hope you found something in my Mother’s Day Gift Guide for Millennial Moms that will help you out this Mother’s Day! And if you’re a mom yourself, I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
